Nothing

So I am going to start this with the first project we got assigned, back when we were still eager to start, wallacks was a mystical place we had only heard about and words like "strathmore" and "render" weren't part of our everyday lingo.
Our first assignment was "Nothing" where we drew 3 squares, each 15cmx15cm of a direct copy of a 1inx1in cloudy grey square we got. One was in conte, one pencil and one pen. When they were all submitted they were posted on the wall to make one big image.

From Left to Right: Pencil, Conte, Pen
Each one took approximately 5-8 hours
We had 3 days to complete the assignment

And Here they are all together:

Architorture

So I just finished my first semester of architecture school. It was the most intense/stressful/fun/amazing/ridiculous time of my life and I would not trade the experience for anything. I worked crazy hours, mostly on drawings, sometimes on art history or multimedia and hopefully over the break I will post all my work from the term. Then my plan is to keep up to date on everything that happens next semester, as it happens while in studio. As I remember I might post funny/interesting/ridiculous stories about certain projects or events as I remember them or profile certain artists/architects via my intro to architecture learnings. So for now I will leave with a picture of Studio, the place where I eat sleep and work most of the time.
